The Why Behind the Work

I Remember What It
Felt Like.

Growing up with parents on a fixed income, home repairs weren't just inconvenient — they were devastating. When something broke, it stayed broken. Not because nobody cared, but because there was nothing left in the budget after the bills were paid.

I remember what it felt like to live in a house that was slowly falling apart around us. And I remember the shame of it. The helplessness. The feeling that we were just supposed to accept it.

I didn't start Exodus Home Solutions just to build a business. I started it because I know what it means when a repair doesn't get made. Somewhere right now, someone is taking a cold shower because they can't afford to replace their water heater. A set of broken stairs has already claimed multiple victims in the same family. An elderly neighbor can't safely leave their home without a ramp that nobody has built for them yet.

The Exodus Restores Initiative exists to change that — one home, one family, one repair at a time.

"Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done."
Proverbs 19:17
Water Heater Replacement
Nobody should take a cold shower because they can't afford a repair. Hot water is not a luxury — it's basic dignity. We replace water heaters for qualifying families at zero cost.
Stair & Trip Hazard Repair
Broken stairs and trip hazards injure thousands every year — disproportionately the elderly and children. We fix them before someone else gets hurt.
Accessibility & Ramp Installation
A wheelchair ramp is the difference between independence and isolation. We build them for elderly and disabled residents who are effectively trapped in their own homes.
Essential Safety Repairs
Leaking roofs, broken locks, faulty wiring panels, failing HVAC — essential repairs that protect families and restore safe, dignified living conditions.
And One Day — A Home
The vision doesn't stop at repairs. One day we will build a house and hand someone the keys — free and clear. That day is coming. We're working toward it with every job we complete.
Who Qualifies

We Show Up For
The Overlooked.

We serve Polk County families who have fallen through the cracks — those whose needs are real but whose resources are limited.

Elderly Residents
Seniors on fixed incomes who can no longer safely maintain their homes deserve dignity, not deterioration.
Low-Income Families
Families working hard but living paycheck to paycheck when an unexpected repair can derail everything.
Veterans
Those who served our country deserve homes that honor that service — safe, sound, and maintained.
Single Parents
Single parents stretching every dollar while raising children shouldn't have to choose between a repair and a meal.
Simple Process

No Red Tape.
Just Real Help.

We made the process as simple as possible because people in need shouldn't have to fight for help.

The Bigger Picture

This Is Bigger Than
A Repair.

Every repair we make is an act of faith — faith that the people of Polk County deserve better, that generosity multiplies, and that a business built on service to others will be sustained by something greater than profit.

The Exodus Restores Initiative is funded by 5% of every job completed by Exodus Home Solutions of Polk LLC. When our clients hire us, they become part of something bigger than a transaction. They help restore a neighbor's home. They help restore someone's dignity.

And one day — we will build a house from the ground up and hand someone the keys. Free and clear. No strings. Just a family with a home they can call their own.

That day is the vision. Every repair is a step toward it.

"He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed. The dream isn't just to fix homes — it's to give them."
